Murdo 'Wasp' MacDonald

Murdo 'Wasp' MacDonald, from Siadar a' Chladaich in Lewis, is one of Gaeldom's finest sean-nòs (traditional) singers and a highly regarded button box player. He won the Traditional Gold Medal for his singing in 1989 and has gained great acclaim in Scotland and beyond. Both his parents were fine singers and he learned many songs from them as well as from others in his community.
